Review of Mean Streets (1973) by Timo V — 18 Mar 2011
Mean Streets is a great piece of work by a young Martin Scorsese. While being heralded as DeNiro's break-out role it is really Harvey Keitel who delivers a strong performance, not to diminish DeNiro because he was great.
With stellar acting, precise direction, and an ending that rivals Chinatown; Mean Streets is a strong, significant film.
