If I remember right there's been quite a few of these prison sports movies - in fact I think Adam Sandler did one recently. Perhaps it even qualifies as a fully-blown sub-genre? Well whatever, Mean Machine - I like it! Vinnie Jones isn't going to be mentioned in the same breath as Marlon Brando any time soon but what a classic choice for the role of Danny "Mean Machine" Meehan - an alcoholic, self-destructive ex-England football captain turned prisoner and reluctant coach of the local team of cons? Yeah yeah it's cliched and what the point of the female secretary and half-assed sex scene was I'll never know but it's ballsy, fun and there HAS to be a drinking game out there for every time you see a Lock Stock/Snatch actor cameo.
