Review of Mean Girls (2004) by Brandon W — 18 Nov 2015
I hear, "Oh my god. High school is nothing like the movies" all the time. Well, then they didn't go to my school because I feel like Mean Girls gave a pretty accurate representation of high school.
Sure the popular girls at my school didn't do a dance to Jingle Bell Rock at the school's talent show and I don't know if the popular girls had rules about wearing Pink on Wednesdays but spreading rumours, shit-talking behind people's back, and grand schemes to get people to break up were all present.
As a film though, it's great! One of the most quotable movies I know. It's so "Fetch". I laugh every single time I watch this movie. But watching this makes me extremely happy that I don't attend high school anymore.
A great teen comedy with a really good message.
