Review of Mean Creek (2004) by Scott G — 15 Sep 2007
3 friend are fed up with thew local bully at school, constantly picking on these 3 and many others, along with one of there brothers and his mates, who take pity on the kids, they decide to take revenge on the kid, so they invite him out on an outing to the lake, where they will embaressing him enough to make him think about what hes done, once there hes more annoying than they realised, and through aturn of events he gets killed, and they decide to cover up the killing, what will be the consequences of these actions, a great little indie film, quite a low budget, and an exellent performances from rory culkin, much better than his talentless brother macaulie, and along with the rest of the cast are on top form, including ryan kelley as the bully, you really do hate him, and hes so good at being annoying, whuch helps the others hatred of him more realistic, nice direction from jacob aron estes, not heard much since, also check out a film called bully, depicting the same type of events, but more swearing and nudity.
this is more a deliverence vibe, pretty good.
