Review of Mean Creek (2004) by Steven P — 07 Jul 2008
Hauntingly Real, a brilliant movie about a group of kids who get payback on a bully. This is probably one of the most impressive all kid staring films I've ever seen. The casting and script was absolutely perfect and it has to be one of the top ten Indie films ive ever seen.
Culkin, Schroeder, Peck, Morgan and Mechlowicz are perfect for the roles. This is a movie about the harsh times of growing up and its brilliantly shown. With Brilliant direction these kids(who by the way have all made strong films after this one) make one hell of a film and one bad situation look not only horrible but very real.
A movie all teenagers should watch, and learn from.
