Review of Me, Myself & Irene (2000) by Zane E — 20 Dec 2008
I'll just say it right now, this movie sucked. This was the second teaming of Carrey, and the Farrelly brothers, and since Dumb And Dumber was so good, I was thinking maybe this might be as well. But this was a dissapointing, and stupid film.
Sure the whole idea that Carrey's character has a split personality was a good, but they did hardly anything with it. Carrey's physical humor was a highlight, but for being a comedy, this one ran very low on laughs.
Instead they tack on several raunchy gross out gags, foul language, and an over-long, drug out ending. Carrey is good, and so is Zellweger, but that is all I can say about this dumb, predictable, and rediculous crapola.
This is one to be avoided.
