Review of Me Before You (2016) by Joyce G — 05 Jul 2016

So finally saw this today. While I was one of the few people not a big fan of the book, I still wanted to see how it was adapted. I thought the casting was done very well. Sam Caflin was great & Emilia Clarke was adorable.

The chemistry between the to was perfect. I also really enjoyed the settings. You get taken to gorgeous looking places. The movie definitely looks beautiful. The soundtrack was perfect as well. I for sure need to go buy a few songs.

So won't ruin the story cause it was a storyline I wasn't expecting. But as with the book, had some issues with the telling of the story. I did like some of what they left out but was also bummed about what they left out.

While I think the book is still a little better, I found myself more satisfied when the movie was over more than I was when I finished the book. Cried more than the book lol. Their connection worked more in the movie for me.

Overall a good watch. More in love with Emilia Clarke.
