Review of Me Before You (2016) by Nicole L — 30 Jun 2016

I had not read the book, but I had very high hopes for this movie, only to be utterly disappointed. It was incredibly superficial, I came in thinking as it is a serious cause that they would dig deep into the emotions more, but all I ended up with was a sappy movie without a real and proper core.

It was delightful to watch as the actors were eye candy, but just like physical beauty, it was only good to look at but it was hollow inside. There was no in-depth justification for the anguish, the desire to end one's life.

I had thought that audiences would be made to understood well the struggles of the disability to result into euthanasia. But all I got was a shallow love story. Maybe I expected too much but it was just lacking so much emotion.
