This could have been the next Twilight, but failed in direction and acting performance - mainly by the main character. I don't know why it's so hard to transform a fantastic book into a decent film, this book had all the potential of making a very powerful film.

Instead it's too fast-paced and lacks depth. As usual, the main character's story voice would have made all the difference in communicating how she feels and bringing the book to life, rather than the actors just playing it out.

Shoot and miss - real shame and waste of a good opportunity. Strong performance by the characters Will and Nathan brings me to giving it 2 stars.
