A poetic (and I mean that fairly literally) movie, strange and dreamlike, simultaneously surreal and oddly realistic.
Watch this without a truly open mind and you'll just get the predictable result. Probably.
I feel like I would have rated it higher, except for how very uncomfortable some of the scenes made me feel. At the same time, I feel like I would have rated it lower, except for how very uncomfortable some of the scenes made me feel. Then again, the beauty was there regardless of anything else. Or maybe even because of everything else, in which case it deserves a higher rating.
The bird picture hung in the tree was the most perfect and beautiful part. Also the quarter in the sun.
