Review of Me and You and Everyone We Know (2005) by The3Academysins — 27 Aug 2019
The first time I saw Me and You and Everyone We Know, I remember that I really didn't like it. However, I find myself inexplicably watching it every year, and it grows on me more and more each time I watch it.
The performances have always been really strong, with the incomparable John Hawkes really shining among the cast. However, Miranda July herself really holds her own, and her tightly woven script of endless vignettes does a great job of exploring love and loss.
The cinematography is beautiful, with the climax of the film being a real visual work of art. If you like indie movies, I hope you will like this one as much as I do.
