Review of Me and Orson Welles (2008) by Janice P — 05 Dec 2009
I was so looking forward to see this, being that I am a big Richard Linklater fan. Unfortunately, I was so detached from the story. There's just something about it that felt so... off the wall? Not that there's reason for it to be "normal" since this film is about the personality who's best known as a man and a myth -- Orson Welles.
But yeah, I just couldn't relate to the story at all, and I'm sorry to say this but Zac Efron was such a distraction. The real saving grace to this film though is Christian McKay who portrays Orson Welles, and I must say this.
.. WOW! This actor is brilliant and so refreshing! He portrayed Orson to the hilt! Let's just hope that Mr. Welles doesn't feel the way I do with this film.
