Review of Me and Earl and the Dying Girl (2015) by Eric H — 21 Sep 2015
I pretty much went to see this movie, without any real knowledge of the story, having only seen one trailer, and being a fan of Nick Offerman, I thought I would give it a shot. Firstly Alfonso Gomez-Rejon has done a fantastic job directing it, some of the shots are beautiful, the soundtrack and music compliment the film and help to create the various emotions in the scenes.
The actors are perfectly cast, you feel genuine warmth with the characters, the jokes throughout the film feel natural and don't feel forced. I'm surprised that this film hadn't got more widely publicised, because it's a really good film, and in my personal opinion is better than most of the big blockbuster films this year.
