Review of Me and Earl and the Dying Girl (2015) by Zach S — 31 May 2016

I want to start by saying that the premise of this movie made me want to vomit when I saw it - I thought 'crap, not ANOTHER movie about teenagers and a girl with cancer'. But there is no two ways about it, this movie nailed it.

This movie was beautifully written, and every time they steered the plot towards a cliche they avoid it with a clever and earnest diversion. I love what this movie says about what it means to be creative and how we deal with pain in our society.
