Review of Me and Earl and the Dying Girl (2015) by William D — 23 Oct 2017
This isn't another cheesy sad teen love story, this is something so much better, it's the story of an unlikely friendships, firstly between 2 very opposite boys who have grown up together with a shared love of films that leads them to make their own movies and secondly between central character Greg and the dying girl of the title Rachel, who Greg's mum has forced Greg to make friends with.
It's funny, it's awkward and sad, a really decent, well written drama that makes a change from all of the usual sap that is produced for this market.
