I liked this movie a lot more than I had expected to. You can't go wrong with a Kevin Costner sports movie.. or with a Disney inspirational sports movie.. and this is BOTH. Costener plays a down on his luck coach/teacher who winds up in a economically challenged hispanic community and creates a winning cross country track team from the kids he finds at the local high school.
.. The young actors who play the kids do enough with their screen time to create compelling characters and Costner nails his part.
