Everything about the plot is predictable, but there is something heartwarming and lovely about the story anyway. In an age of films that expound on the darkest parts of the human condition, it's really nice to see a movie that pushes you to root for a team of kids who worked hard for what seemed like an impossible dream.

My one critique would be the lack of sportsmanship from their opponents. I know they are playing up the tension, but in reality the likelihood of them being targeted like that by everyone is not likely.

I'm sure they encountered comments like that throughout their lives from people who lacked the understanding to see beyond where they come from, but it was heavy handed in the film. If you like feel good movies with a sports theme, culture clash humor, and uplifting endings then you will enjoy watching this film.
