Review of McCabe & Mrs. Miller (1971) by Michel T — 15 Jun 2007
There is no poetry in this film.
It is direct and unfiltered, that's not to say it won't hold your hand through the sadness, the cold, the violence and laughter, but you'll want more. It will pull some dusty trigger inside you and you'll want more. It will give you memorable quotes and a beautiful soundtrack, but you'll want more. It will strip bare-backed and dance just for you, but you'll want more.
You are this film's lover. Completely insatiable yet completely at peace.
