Review of Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials (2015) by David M — 29 Feb 2016
A short while back, I went through a phase of reading Young Adult Dystopian novels then watching the films: The Hunger Games, Divergent and The Maze Runner.
While I did make it entirely through the series of those first two either before or during the period between watching the first and second film, that's not the case with this one - I've only read the first (so far).
And, I have to say, I actually preferred this over the first film. I don't know whether that's a direct result of not having read the book, or because this is just a more entertaining film (even if it does come across as a mash-up of 'Jurassic Park: The Lost World' (one scene in particular), 'Mad Max', 'I Am Legend' and just about any other zombie film you care to name!).
