Review of Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials (2015) by Joel H — 01 Mar 2016
It's a shame that Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials came out long after the post-apocalyptic young adult fiction craze had worn out its welcome. The story and the characters all seem worn out and clichéd.
It's also a shame that this movie can't really stand on its own. It starts in the middle of a story and it ends in the middle of a story - which is why I'm tired of trilogies. This is not a bad movie.
It's actually pretty entertaining. It was just released at the wrong time.
