Review of Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials (2015) by John K — 15 Jan 2016
The first movie had a fascinating puzzle...this is just a run-of-the-mill action flick. Zombies and betrayal. Yawn. And the story still doesn't make sense. What purpose did the maze have? And why is everyone so damn sure that the organization that's developing a vaccine against zombieitis is so evil? That seems like the only reasonable thing to do.
Preferably with consent, but the WICKED (Really, that's their acronym? What are we, 5 years old?) side at least uses nonlethal force. The "good guy rebels" are basically terrorists trying to stop the development of the cure for the world's problems, and they use real guns.
