Maze Runner: The Death Cure - Review (2018).
The Good.
Dylan O'Brien, Kaya Scodelario, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Rosa Salazar and Will Poulter (not gonna spoil how he comes back) are all fantastic.
Wes Ball's Superb Direction who directed all Three Films who actually cares about this franchise.
The Action feels inspired by Mad Max.
Josh Paesano's Excellent Musical Score.
The Visual Effects are great.
All the Dumb Cliffhanger endings of the first 2 movies pay off with a satisfying Climax with the film with a great heart warming ending.
The Bad.
The Brutal 2 Hour and 22 Mintutes Run Time, it takes a while for The Actual Death Cure which feels more like a Sub Plot, while the main the focus is Thomas trying to save his friend.
Plus the Plot in Nonsense.
Patricia Clarkson, who is well-cast as W.C.K.D. leader Ava Paige, but sadly gets little to sink her teeth into. Aidan Gillen meanwhile has plenty of promise as the villainous Janson, but he never quite reaches the levels of hammy antagonism you'd hope for.
Walton Goggins, who shows up for a few scattered scenes as the disfigured rebellion leader Lawrence, but he disappears almost as randomly as he shows up.
And Giancarlo Esposito, who reprises his role as Glader ally Jorge, once again feels oddly sidelined despite being one of the cast's most game performers.
Overall: What a good ending to a whats been a good Young Adult Book Series, which got a to tell all of it's story and not suck and flop cough Divergent Cough.
Overall Grade: B+.
