Review of Maze Runner: The Death Cure (2018) by Ian C — 27 Jan 2018
So this movie hits all the cliches but it did it with a passion. It has all your favorites like the ending monologue, vtols/helicopters rising behind the main characters just in time to save them, thinking there?s only one zombie like creature when there?s a hole herd, completing something just in time to get away, a target not being in the expected.
area, a speech resembling the one from Independence Day every one knows, and of course the main character getting shot and escaping via fading to black then blasting a bright light into the camera and him mysteriously being ok. The movie itself was just a combination of pop culture movies including but not limited to mad max fury road, blade runner, every hiest movie ever, and hunger games. Strangely I found it actually really acceptable I went in to this movie thinking it wouldn?t be that good but I kind of liked how it was just all these movies combined. Although good you probably won?t understand some things if you haven?t seen the last movies, but if you have go see it it?s one of those movies that if directed better would have been great and to me it?s definitely a good watch.
