So just a quick little disclaimer I haven't read these books, but have seen just the films based on them. With that knowledge I actually enjoyed all three Maze Runner films and found this one to be a great closure for the entire trilogy.

It's definitely one of those films that will only be good if you enjoyed the other two and are a fan of those movies. The movie itself doesn't do too much recapping and relies on you to recall what happened before.

The movie takes place a few months after the events of Maze Runner: The Burn Trials (2015). Thomas (Dylan O'Brien) is once again teamed with Brenda (Rosa Salazar) and Jorge (Giancarlo Esposito) along with Newt (Thomas Brodie-Sangster) and Frypan (Dexter Darden).

While searching for their captured friend Minho (Ki Hong Lee) they come across the last city which contains all of WCKD and their research. Thomas hatches a plan to save Minho and find out what happened to Teresa (Kaya Scodelario).

While they plan to get into the impenetrable city they soon realize there's a bit more to the last city then they thought. The film like I said does a great job closing up the trilogy. I'm glad they didn't bust it into a Pt.

1 and Pt. 2 which so many films do now a days. The movie really pulls for the feels with some great emotional moments and never gets too over the top. The action has some really cool moments as well with everyone getting their moment to shine.

There are some twists in this one that are pretty cool and I didn't see coming. The film was worth a look at in theaters and I would recommend giving it a look if you enjoyed the other two films. The only gripe I had was some questionable character motives near the end which kind of slow the movie down a bit.

Overall, solid stuff and a trilogy that I would definitely check out again!
