Review of Maze Runner: The Death Cure (2018) by Masterriley — 02 Feb 2018
Maze Runner: The Death Cure is a fantastic conclusion to the Maze Runner trilogy. For the material they had to work with, they did an amazing job. The largest issue comes from the story material of the novel being a bit cliche, and a bit too predictable at points.
But the movie adaptation knocks it out of the park with fantastic direction and performances. There are some truly great and emotional moments throughout the movie that make you care for the characters.
The performances, especially Dylan O'Brien, really sell their characters. And the action in this movie is hands down the best of the three movies. The pace of the movie is great; action, surprises, and character moments are well placed keeping the movie entertaining throughout.
I'd have to watch it again, but I'd argue it is the best of the three movies.
