Review of Maze Runner: The Death Cure (2018) by Ricardo M — 05 Feb 2018
The final movie to the Maze runner did not go as well as I thought it would be. It starts off with that train scene right from the trailer and then it just drags on for like 45 mins until the finale when they break into the city.
There were way too many 1 on 1 talking scenes that did not add anything to the story or develop the characters. I liked the end battle scene when the mob storms the city and having the kids break in to rescue the Asian guy.
The runtime on was way too long I think and they could have cut out a lot of useless talking scenes and actually make them focus on the real plot of the movie instead of some bonding of characters. The ending dragged on for like 20 minutes which I felt just ruined it.
Not a good way to end a series. The 2nd Mazer runner was better but at least this was better than the Hunger Games Mocking Jay. It was still an Ok movie though.
