A bit disgusting at parts, but any gore tended to be sensationalized and never the main focus point of the scene; one's eyes were meant to be glued to May (Angela Bettis) and for me they were...she is at once endearing, frightening, beautiful, ugly, pathetic and charming.
this was a beautifully done film (i loved May's costumes and the fanciful cinematography) and a neat, creepy movie.
