Review of May (2003) by Hrodland C — 25 May 2008
It's a decent movie. It does the whole 'weirdo-trying-to-fit-into-society-is-rejected-and-goes-crazy' schtick well but I never found myself engaged with any of the characters. Everyone except May was very self-absorbed.
.. speaking of May, I found her to be very unlikable. If you want a good /poetic/ horror film then see Terry Gilliam's Tideland; it does the whole befriending dolls and dead things better (and it's a lot more haunting and beautiful).
