Review of May (2003) by Alexa M — 02 Jul 2008
I will give it this much: if this movie were remade with today's top techniques and effects, then this would be an amazing movie. The plot was there with the emotion needed to draw viewers in. And the way things develop was perfect.
But I would have been terrified if the death scenes were more realistic... they all reminded me of little kids playing and sticking plastic swords under their arms, slinging ketchup over their bodies, and pretending to die.
Seriously, this had potential to be an incredible movie, but it was done all wrong.
