Review of Maximum Ride (2016) by Courtney C — 09 Jan 2017
I honestly am so distributed by this film... I love the books as a young girl.... the books are alittle dark and they did a good job capturing the over all feel of that in the film... but I honestly can't believe the producers let this go live... why why why!!!! they could have done so much better, the cast did good with what they had to work with but how could they have not gotten more funds James Patterson is rich and has a huge following he couldn't have gotten more money?! to me this film feels like a lame attempt to satisfy fans and or a high budget higschool level productions class video except extra long with reasonablly higher grade actors. the producers dropped the ball.
I did how ever think the kiddos in this movie who played kid max and kid ari and angle did the best acting and the producers u can tell put a lot of time in the set for where the kids were brought up and tormented.... I would have like less of this and would have liked more time on the rest of the film... my thinking is ok one scene with an upset crying scared chilled rolling in to surgery or getting shoved in a cage is enough to convey the bad test tube lab experimental up bring they all were given. I don't like that they focused in this so much it was completely a waste of footage...only bonus is those kids are damn good actors.
