Review of Maximum Overdrive (1986) by Kevin H — 05 Apr 2009
Stephen King's only attempt at directing turns out somewhat subpar but certainly leaves us with some memorable moments. Maximum Overdrive, based on his short story "Trucks" features a couple of great scenes including some little league baseball players being assaulted by a soda pop machine and a drawbridge opening up a little too late but overall there is something severly lacking in this film and it may just be the overly wooden performances of its stars.
Still worth a watch if you are a horror fan.
