Review of Maximum Overdrive (1986) by Patrick H — 28 Jul 2009
This has to be one of the goofiest horror movies made by any director. At times, it is kind of creepy due to the eerie guitar riff made when someone gets killed. Most of the time, however, it is played for pure camp and tends to work on that level.
The special effects are cheesy, the dialogue is pretty awful at times, but stuff gets blown up real good and some of the deaths are funny and creative at the same time. Plus, any movie that uses AC/DC as the score has to be entertaining in some aspect.
Let's hope machines never take over the world.
