Stephen King's "moron movie" is actually entertaining. Like 'Transformers', but better. The machines of the world turn on all by themselves thanks to a comet's tail holding the Earth in a cosmic green cloud. Automobiles drive themselves and appliances work on their own. Take that humans!

For seven days the comet's tail is said to be warping the planet in overdrive. So it's for a limited time only. Tell that to the people at the Dixie Boy Diner. They're an odd collection of country bumpkins, stuck in the middle of nowhere in their lives and thankfully for a moment they can put their shitty lives aside and focus on what really matters: destroying evil trucks that drive themselves. They circle the diner like sharks, waiting for whoever to come out of the diner so they can run them over. There is no purpose to the machines ability to take over the world. They're just doing what the comet's tail has them to do which is to destroy their creators. For a limited time only of course.

I love how dumb this movie is. It's a completely stupid movie, but it's so damn funny and fun to watch. It's so bad it's good! Stephen King shouldn't have let the critics or whoever hated this film to dissuade him from ever directing a film again. He did a good job. Now logic will interrupt your joy of this film. So, might I just say don't apply logic to a film like this. Instead, sit back, watch trucks wreck havoc and listen to AC/DC. The End.
