(2008) Max Payne.
ACTION.
By looking at the film instead of looking at how faithful is it to the video game where the idea came from is not a very good movie experience at all. The supposedly set-up has Max Payne's wife killed and murdered and he becomes somwhat of an outlaw outcast seeking retribution! Then the bizarre happens involving a flying demon, and it wasn't until the end which viewers should be able to find out before the film was even over that this flying demon doesn't appear until a green liquid is consumed which begs the question why even include a ludicrous concept in the first place! The action is as I mentioned is kept at a minimum and much of it is stylized which I can safely say all the action sequences have already been shown on the previews and that the reason to see this very poor adaption isn't for the action but the storyline which has already been done a dozen times before! Stereotypically enjoyable for the young people but for 'action' ethusiasts is nothing but a waste of time!
1 out of 4 stars.
