Review of Max Payne (2008) by Angel M — 10 Oct 2010
The acting was great, everything else was flawed. It's nice when I can actually say I enjoyed Mark Wahlberg in a movie especially since the last time I saw him was in the a movie with the worst acting I have ever seen (yes I'm talking to you "The Happening") but his acting was really good in this. The story was a little choppy and the editing a little off. It was extremly predictable but at the same time might have had areas in the film where the select audience who have played the game might get a better understanding then the every day viewer.
I watched this movie at home and constantly found things to do during it. The movie just didn't hold my attention which is a complete disappointment being that it's supposed to be an action movie with very little action. If you need a movie to watch while doing the dishes and there is are only re-runs of your less then favorite show then this is the movie for you. Less then entertaining but a nice time killer.
