Max Payne starts off as an enjoyable futuristic thriller with lots of action and high-octane thrills that make it passable blockbuster stuff tjat won't disappoint fans of the video-game, but it's drowned out by increasingly nasty violence and poorly-translated visuals that look straight out of the game along with a laughably bad third act.
It's sure to appeal to game fans, but to few others who will find it more unpleasant than entertaining.
