Max Payne delivered on an being an action-dark like film. But the plot was confusing at times until the ending that exposes the whole case Max is trying to solve. It is also the example of how revenge is played to avenge a loved ones death.
Mark Wahlberg plays the tough cop Max Payne very well as I was able to compare Mark Wahlberg as Max Payne similar to the original Max Payne. In other words Mark did a very good job playing Max Payne. The whole movie was suspenseful and had significant action, but the plot at times was hard to understand.
It was one of those movies where you had to rewind the movie at times to understand a part in the movie. The Movie did not deliver on occasions like in the video game version of the famous Max Payne-Mona sax romance was not shown at all in this movie if the fans of the video game franchise were looking for that it will not show any love between Mona Sax and Max Payne.
The movie did not have any of the slow motions of max diving, jumping, and dodging bullets to much. you only saw that one time. That was a little disappointing. Overall the movie stood out to be a mystery-action movie.
It delivered fairly with Mark Wahlberg and Mila Kunis being badasses in the movie. Those two actors in particular were phenomenal overall. But Ludacris playing as a detective in the movie...hahahahaha.
