Mark Wahlberg stars as Max Payne in the movie of the same name. Max Payne is an odd concept (never played the video-game so it was all new to me) that never really makes much sense and is a tad bit of a hindrance in an otherwise enjoyable action flick.
Wahlberg continues to grow on me with his on screen charisma and charm and as Max Payne he shows again that he can take anything given to him, even if the script is mediocre, and give a good performance (The Happening aside).
Max Payne is fun but the odd plot will confuse many and make little sense when all is said and done.
