Review of Max Manus: Man of War (2008) by Tor M — 30 Jan 2011
Not the typical war movie - it focuses on the country's state and the general life. The pace is good, the production is all right and the use of effects are not over done. The story is very good (and true) and it evolves in a good way.
Still there are some minor stuff that I dislike such as the scene were Greger being shot out through the window and the crappy dialogues and chemistry. An OK flick, that should have used a different cast.
It's very understandable that it's one of the most sucessful Norwegian movies the last decade. It's easy to enjoy, and difficult to criticize.
