Review of Max (2016) by Ron C — 23 Jun 2015
You want Max to be good, but can't have a dog in a movie and expect it to happen. You have to try, otherwise you get a terrible film like this.
In a movie filled with so much bad acting, especially by teen Josh Wiggins, the dog stands out as the best actor.
Filmed in North Carolina and set in Texas, Max should've taken place in Wisconsin because it's so cheesy with plot holes like Swiss cheese.
There are just so many things wrong about Max with its terrible script and lazily conceived plot. Max will probably rake at the box office in its first week, then fall off after people realize how bad it really is.
Such a disappointment.
