Review of Max (2016) by Tawana H — 18 Jul 2015
One of the few movies I've seen in a long while that could have easily been written and produced far outside of glitz and glam Hollywood; I felt like I was watching a movie about my neighbors; about real Americans; real humans experiencing some of the hardships of typical American life (well.
.. except for the end when that typical suburban life turns into a war zone of it's own). I also loved the patriotic pride that emanated from this movie; not much of that to be found anymore in modern films either.
The dog was fantastic; in some parts the dog's acting performance was more convincing than his human counterparts :-) A great coming-of-age movie for kids.
