Review of Max (2015) by Banu B — 14 Jun 2008
"I've seen the future - It came right at us. There's no future in the future.." A brilliant if misunderstood film (The focus of the film is about Max Rothman, NOT Hitler). A former artist and now art collector having come back from Ypres, It's a film about how art failed to save the world and how people like Rothman were too comfortable, too self-assured, too enwrapped in their own problems to see it coming.
That said, Noah Taylor steals the show as a young Adolf.
