Review of Maverick (2015) by Andrew P — 07 Feb 2010
It's a light and fluffy Hollywood comedy that revises a lot of the Old West in order to exist. The action sequences feel as if they're filler, making way for more of the "clever" back and forth between the characters.
It's all really silly, with a long detour that seems to only be there so Mel Gibson can put on warpaint and an indian headdress. I can't say I necessarily enjoyed the movie, but I wasn't squirming in my seat, praying for it to end.
