Review of Maurice (1987) by Fabian T — 22 Jul 2008
I was obsessed with this movie when it came out, some 20 years ago. It was the first film where I didn't have to make a gender-switch the get the full impact of the love story. Add to that the richness of the Merchant-Ivory genre and a top-notch cast and you get a film that quite literally changed my life.
Magnificent.
