Review of Match Point (2005) by Michael A — 01 Nov 2013
One of Allen's best work, that demonstrates his versatility in producing a suspenseful drama. Typical Allen existential angst dilemma so in-you-face in Anne Hall or Manhattan, is subdued in the main character, a cold blooded murdering cheat.
A great achievement by Allen, yet overall rated less than Blue Jasmine, which I thought failed by poor acting. Is that the director's fault. I have read that Allen let's his actors interpret the scenes.
In Jasmime, it fails.
