Review of Match Point (2005) by Yvonne R — 29 Oct 2009
I was emotionally distrubed throughout the whole movie. The characters you either loved or hated for their superficality or their one track minds. The movie captured a range of personalities; those who were stuck in a rut to those who just could not be happy with what they had.
In that way they were static characters, but it worked well with the movie's purpose -- the ultimate ablity, when push comes to shove, to choose between your passions and your desires, two very different ideals.
It taunted the mind to think of the possiblities between desire, happiness, passion, and and what those emotions could lead you to do.
