Review of Masters of the Universe (1987) by Nick M — 12 Oct 2012
Ummm.... I kinda like this movie. I mean granted, yes, it is a bad movie. A terrible, laughably horrible, awful film. Yet I loved He-Man when I was extremely young, and through the magic of nostalgia making everything seem awesome, I still do.
I loved this movie when I first saw it, and mostly because of Frank Langella's Skeletor, I still have a fondness for it. Sure, He-Man is hardly understandable, and the story of them going to Earth is.
.. dumb... but Skeletor and Evil-Lyn have great chemistry and both actors took their roles seriously enough to give them some depth. Yeah, it sucks, but I can't hate it for trying.
