I saw this at an arthouse theater in SE Portland. The audience thought it was ridiculous, stupid, and laughed at it. They thought it was dumb. But then, the martial arts tournament part happened - the audience was stunned in silence.
And then, when the movie was over, THEY CHEERED LIKE CRAZY! :D.
This is the kind of film that proves to people that the oldschool Kung Fu movie can be pretty badass. 8).
