#4 of the Decade: MASTER AND COMMANDER - THE FAR SIDE OF THE WORLD.
Peter Weir's awe-inspiring, naval epic set during the Napoleonic Wars, in which a British Captain (brilliantly played by the always incredible Russell Crowe) has to track down and defeat a superior, unknown French ship. The film moves with an amazing flow, especially for a 2 1/2 hour epic, and the action sequences are some of the most exciting in film history.
