Review of Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World (2003) by Stefano L — 07 Aug 2011
The best Russel Crowe after the Gladiator and A Beautiful Mind. For sure. The film is intense and raw, both in the battle scenes and in the surgery ones. The characters were a bit predictable maybe, but in the end well mixed together.
The story flows rapidly, also considering the 2 hours and nearly a half of lasting. For 8 years I waited to watch this film again, but til now I wasn't able to find it on sky tv or any other channel.
Good to discover it was there tonight.
